I accidentally watched a reality show *which is not quite my cup of tea, but since I watched the beginning, I'm curious about the ending* from one of the channels on tv.
There's this couple, married for 12 years.
They had an 8 years old daughter.
And then one day, on their 10th years of marriage, they had a fight.
Big one. The hubby said, he will had his wife divorced from him.
The wife thinks by saying so, her husband has made the divorce legal.
So she stopped taking care of her hubby and her daughter, she released herself from her responsibility as a mother and as a wife for the last 2 years.
Although she said she still taking care of her daughter, the hubby said she'd forcibly done it.
But the weird thing is, despite the fact that she thinks the divorce is legal, she still living in the same house, sleeping in the same room with his hubby.
During the show, she's really offensive towards her hubby.
And so desperate, like she really wanted the divorce for real.
She won't give her hubby a chance and all she wanted is divorce, period.
The wife accompanied by her parents and her sister, while hubby accompanied by her brother and her sister in law.
From the wife's family, her mother really stands for her no matter what, while her dad wanted her daughter to reconcile with her hubby, he refused the divorce to happen.
On the other hand, the hubby's family accuse his wife for affair.
They said her ignorant attitude started when she got a job as a secretary in some car-rental company, she always got home so late, always being offensive, getting a phone at home call from a man which is picked up by her sister in law, etc.
They're pretty sure she's having an affair.
The debate's endless.
They keep speaking (yelling) one after another (which makes it almost inaudible).
In the middle of the show, they called an Ustadz to advised her.
Although the Ustadz already explained that when the hubby said, "I will divorce you."
It's not legal, unless he said clearly, "Hereby, I divorce you." then it's legal, which makes her ignorant attitude towards her hubby and her child a huge sin, the ustadz said.
She still wanted the divorce.
No matter what the advisors said, she still wanted it. Unbelievable.
One of the advisor said, "she's here not for a solution, but for a supporter to support her opinion, to tell her that she's right."
"It's useless, no matter what we said. If she's already firm-minded, there's nothing we can do."
"Although it's wrong, we still don't know why because she won't say why."
"From the beginning of this show, all she said is about divorce, divorce me now... now."
Looking at his unrepairable wife, the hubby finally decide to divorce her.
Pity, but wait... his ex-wife's smiling victoriously wide... real wide, right after her hubby said the word "divorce".
Without waiting any longer she called someone from audience seats.
A man.
Yep, her affair partner.
Crazy.
Sick.
The hubby feels tricked, angrily and furiously jumps towards his ex-wife, thankfully they managed to grab him out before he beats his ex-wife into pulp.
After the man shows up, the wife's family outraged, embarrassed.
Her mom fainted, and they left the show.
And after a few advise again and a few slap in the face, haha, just kidding...
Okay, the advisor said, "You see, even your family left you."
"Where are you gonna go home to? This man's house??" *pointing at her partner*
"Have you no shame??"
The wife's partner getting enough spotlight and embarrassment to bear so he left too.
Now, she left alone, with no place to go home to.
Her hubby gave her what she wanted, her family and her man dumped her.
I don't know whether the show's for real or not, it's quite having me occupied and curious.
A guilty pleasure, I assume.
But it's quite a lesson.
I just know that there are also this people, desperately seeking divorce just like that, I'd say for a foolish reason.
You know you're wrong, you reminded that you're on the wrong track, you're advised to get back to the right track, but you still... ignorant. Or just simply stupid?
Sorry, but to me affair is just intolerable.
Call me conservative, whatever... that's me.
After rethink it through, there's just too much drama in the show... isn't it?
